Tony Kishawi caught Katie Edmiston – Creative Alliance QLD and Facilitator Deb Suckling summing up the day. Arts & Culture Forum Saturday 23 February 2019 10.00am – 3.00pm The Gympie Region is home to a thriving arts and cultural sector immersed in creativity and innovation from music and literature to visual and performing arts. The diverse cultural heritage and rich indigenous history of the region plays a key role in the values, self-expression and the unique identity of our community and its people. This forum will bring together local arts and cultural champions, our future leaders and Council to determine the opportunities and actions to grow the creative sector in the Gympie region. The Forum will focus on: Workshop – Overview and discussion of the GRC Arts and Cultural Plan 2015-2025 and the vision for the future Showcase – Inspirational success stories from local artists supported by the RADF program Workshop – Project Scoping for the Regional Arts Development Fund Annual Bid to Arts Queensland.
